Family Child Care Providers
Family child care providers have unique needs and MO-SECA is the program that supports you as you navigate those challenges. In addition to the MO-SECA Academies (which do feature sessions tailored to family child care providers!) we’re happy to offer trainings virtually and in-person across the state.
You can earn up to $450 in stipends and 18 clock hours in 2024 by attending a combination of leadership and business trainings (learn more here).

FAQS
How do the MO-SECA stipends and clock hours work?
Stipends are paid out to you within 90 days of both training and stipend paperwork completion. If you’d like to confirm your stipend paperwork is complete, please email moseca@umsystem.edu. We can issue payment by mailing a check or via direct deposit depending on your preference.
Each participant can earn up to $225 for attending leadership sessions (only available at Leadership Academies) and $225 for business sessions (available at Business Academies and as stand alone sessions). Stipends are earned at a rate of $25/clock hour for in person session and $15/clock hour for virtual sessions.
You can earn clock hours for each unique session you attend in a calendar year. Some business sessions are offered both at Academies and as stand alone sessions throughout the year.

Which academy should I attend?
The MO-SECA team recommends you choose one Business Academy and one Leadership Academy to attend in 2024. The rest is up to you! You are also absolutely welcome to attend more than one of each academy. Just note that you can only earn $225 in stipends for business trainings and $225 for leadership trainings

Academy Accommodations & Amenities
We are happy to provide a one night hotel stay for any academy you attend.
We’ve designed the schedule to allow attendees the time to visit nearby food establishments during typical meal hours. MO-SECA will not be providing food or transportation to attendees at regional trainings.
Will the content be different than the 2023 MO-SECA training sessions? Are the stand alone trainings different than academies?
Some sessions will feature the same content presented in 2023 and others will be new based on feedback from participants about where they want to dig in further.
Participants can earn clock hours for repeat sessions as long as they are completed in different calendar years.
